One Love Project for Underprivileged Patients

Phyathai 2 Hospital in collaboration with One Love foundation held the project called “One Love for underprivileged patients” which provides the opportunity for children with thalassemia major to undergo the surgery by expert surgeons and medical teams.  Currently, there are 4,000 babies who have beta thalassemia major in Thailand each year and approximately 22 million people have thalassemia trait, which accounts for 1 in 3 people. The project is created to assist Thai children to have better health and improved quality of life.

 

In addition, as a tribute to Her Majesty Queen Sirikit of the Ninth Reign, the auction of 100 artworks from respected artists, physicians, nurses, hospital staff and the winner of the contest “Roi Jai Thai Tai Rom Yen” was conducted to raise money for charitable causes through Princess Prem Ngarmchit foundation.
 
On 9 January 2017, Her Royal Highness Princess Soamsawali as a chairman of Princess Prem Ngarmchit foundation graciously attended the ceremony at Phyathai 2 Hospital to present the award to winner of “Roi Jai Thai Tai Rom Yen” art contest.
