A headache is more dangerous than you think

A headache is a common illness that causes quite a lot suffering. The headache is not caused by a serious condition, but if it is ignored until it becomes chronic without diagnosis, the headache can become more severe, even to the point of being life-threatening. Headaches can be divided according to cause and nature of symptoms as follows:

Tension Type Headache
People who are stressful or work a lot are likely to experience tightness or throbbing around their head, and the symptoms might even include aches at the muscles of the head, neck and shoulders.

Migraine Headache
This is another type of headache that is frequently found and often misdiagnosed! Pain symptoms might range from moderate to severe, and external stimuli like lights, sounds and smells can exacerbate the symptoms, which normally remain present for as long as 4 hours to 3 days!

Cluster Headache
This type of headache is uncommon, but it is found more frequently in men than women. Normally, pain symptoms are so severe that the patient becomes agitated. The pain also happens instantaneously and continues for 15 minutes up to 3 hours. The patient usually experiences pain around the eyes or on one of the temples, and it might be accompanied by redness of the eyes, tears, nasal discharge or sweating on the face side that is painful

Chronic Daily Headache
Patients might experience either tension headache or migraine, but the symptoms persist for more than 15 days each month for up to at least 3 months. This type of headache can be caused by drug overdose or as a side effect of sinusitis, stroke or cancer.

If you experience any of these headaches, urgently seek medical attention!
1. Sudden severe headache.
2. Headache accompanied by fever and stiffness of the neck.
3. Headache alongside unusual symptoms of the nervous system such as weakness of the arms and legs.
4. Headache in a cancer patient or an HIV patient.
5. Headache that continues to increase in severity that does not respond to treatment.
