At Phyathai 2 Heart Center, under international accreditation, we have highly experienced and well-trained doctors and nurses on standby 24/7 ready to help treat disease patients within their immediate critical time period. Our center is equipped with a specialized catheterization laboratory containing the latest technology, including a Hybrid Operating Theater, which has helped us become a leading open heart and chest surgery hospital in Thailand. We specialize in the innovation of minimally invasive heart surgery, off-pump surgery, and non-surgical procedures of sealing a hole in the heart with umbrella-like discs. All these contribute to better treatments and faster recovery for our patients. Furthermore, we provide heart check-ups and comprehensive rehabilitation programs from our expert team that are available for all patients to help them resume normal daily activities expeditiously.
Mobile CCU (Coronary Care Unit): For emergency cases, we have a Mobile CCU van specifically to address cardiac conditions. Our mobile CCU ambulance is outfitted with a respirator, EKG monitor, pulse oximeter, and infusion pump, which are important for saving the lives of cardiac patients. Our team of expert doctors and nurses are professionally trained to take care of the patients in emergency situations and will accompany the patients along the way to the hospital, thus reducing the risk of death. .
Hybrid Operating theatre: The Hybrid Operating room was developed to merge interventional approaches with the traditional surgical functions of an operating room, allowing the cardiologist to perform minimally invasive and open-surgery techniques simultaneously. It is also designed to support multidisciplinary approaches so that interventional radiologists, surgeons and anesthetists can work together to provide safer, quicker and more efficient care.
The theatre is equipped with advanced medical imaging devices such as fixed C-Arms, CT scanners and MRI scanners. These complex imaging devices enable complex, minimally-invasive surgery resulting in a considerably less traumatic experience for the patient, less scarring, a shorter hospital stay, and faster rehabilitation. This facility, which includes a cardiac catheterization laboratory, routinely performs bypass surgery , balloon angioplasty, and complex heart surgery for Bangkok patients, making it one of the most trusted centers for heart and chest surgery in Thailand.
Cardiac Diagnosis Investigation
Various techniques can be used to investigate heart conditions. They are simple, non-invasive and have no-risk associated with them.
- Electrocardiogram (ECG/EKG)
- Excercise Stress Test (EST)
- Echocardiogram
- CT angiogram
Further investigation techniques, if the patient has possibility of coronary artery disease:
- CAG (Coronary Angiogram)
- Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT)
- Fractional Flow Reserve (FFR)
Cardiac treatment and Surgery: Angioplasty techniques such as:
- Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI)
- Coronary Artery Bypass Surgery (CABG),
- Percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty (PTCA)
- Balloon angioplasty
Heart and chest surgeries are available at our Heart Center, including:
- Abdominal aortic stent or open aortic repair
- Valve repair/replacement
- Pacemaker implantation
- Thoracic Endovascular Aortic Repair (TEVAR)
- Endovascular Aneurysm Repair (EVAR)
- Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation (TAVI)
