Hysterosalpingography (HSG) is a specialized X-ray procedure used to examine the uterus and fallopian tubes, helping physicians identify possible causes of infertility or recurrent pregnancy loss.

During the procedure, a contrast dye is gently introduced into the uterus, allowing clear visualization of the uterine cavity and fallopian tubes under imaging. This enables doctors to assess whether the fallopian tubes are open and whether the shape of the uterus is normal.
